SUMMARY:RING: Intro to Rope & Developing Skills at Home (3/13/21)
LOCATION:346 Herron Dr, Nashville, TN 37210
DESCRIPTION: This event is pending approval by Metro Public Health Department.  RING Returns to The Mark After a year, we are finally able to return in-person to the Mark for the Second Saturday of the month - a day dedicated to Nashville\'s Rope Bondage Community! We are excited to announce we will be hosting an in-person presentation-style class to benefit CPI as they work towards reopening The Mark. While we\'re excited to get back to the RING we\'re all used to, that will happen faster if we take necessary precautions. Therefore, this will be a presentation/demonstration/discussion style class with no tying along. Masks will be required at all times inside the facility. Attendance is limited to 25 Attendees. March RING Topics: Intro to Rope & Developing Skills at Home with Virgil Maro & Emma Honey All proceeds will go directly to CPI for sustaining the Mark during the closure! Introduction to Rope Bondage We\'ve seen a lot of new kinksters curious about Rope Bondage since RING\'s last in-person meeting. As such, we\'re excited to present an Introduction to Rope Bondage for those looking to start their rope journey, or experienced rope practitioners to share their anecdotes to novices. We\'ll discuss safety, history, and core techniques for anyone just getting started. Developing Rope Skills at Home Without a steady stream of hands-on education, even the most well-versed bondage enthusiast can feel a plateau in their skill level. We\'ll demonstrate a few exercises and techniques to develop skills at home for all experience levels of solo-enthusiasts, partners, and self-tying humans. This will include an open discussion for everyone to contribute their pandemic rope practices or seek assistance with their own rope obstacles. How to Attend In order to maintain limited attendance, we are ticketing this RING. The cost is $15 and all revenue goes directly to CPI. - This is event is open to all rope-interested humans over 18 - Please familiarize yourself with the COVID information below pertaining to the class - Arrive with identification proving you are 18+ - Remember to wear a mask and that no food/drinks will be permitted - Please reach out to Virgil via FetMail or email if you have any questions. Pandemic Protocols for In-Person Classes - Classes will be held in the play space (2765 sqft), rather than the classroom (585 sqft) to ensure a minimum 6-ft social buffer. - Classes will be limited to 27 participants (25 students and 2 staff). - Attendees must register for the classes ahead of time and pay the $15 registration fee in advance. (No refunds will be provided for no-shows.) - At the time of registration, you will be asked to select an arrival time -- there are five arrival times with five tickets each, spaced five-minutes apart -- to better limit queuing outside the front door. If you arrive earlier than your reservation time, please wait in your car until it is your time to approach the front door. Please try not to be later than your designated arrival time; but if you are, wait at the back of the line -- if there is one -- don\'t attempt to cut ahead. - You will be required to wear a facemask during your entire visit to The Mark, starting when you set foot on the ramp to the front door. Upon entering and before being allowed past the front lobby, one of our medical advocates will take your forehead temperature with a contactless thermometer and ask you the basic COVID-19 screening questions. - PowerPoint presentations will be displayed on the large screen at the rear of the stage. - Chairs are prearranged per the MPHD-approved floor plan and may not be moved -- except if you bring your own wheelchair. - Once seated, students must remain in their chairs until the end of the presentation, unless they need to use the restroom, etc., and then must ensure that only one student is up at a time. (Staff will assist if needed.) - Outside food or drink will be not allowed. - The outdoor smoking deck is closed. - Please pay attention and follow any staff instruction and informational signage! And Please... Although we believe that we can reopen safely with the rules above, we ask those 65 years of age and older and those with the following medical conditions to carefully consider the potential health impacts of their attendance, as the CDC identifies folks in these categories to be at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19: - Cancer - Chronic kidney disease - COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) - Immuno-compromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant - Obesity (BMI – Body Mass Index – of 30 or higher) - Serious heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies - Sickle cell disease - Type 2 diabetes mellitus - (The list of the known/recognized “at risk” underlying medical conditions, as well as those conditions that “might cause increased risk” for severe illness from COVID-19 can be found here.) By registering for this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people are present. By attending this event, you and any in your party voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold Community Perspectives Inc.
